南极洲国际地球物理年美国英国法国日本挪威智利阿根廷苏联海道测量天气冰川海洋生物美国海军研究站




深冻行动（英语：Operation Deep Freeze）是从1955年—1956年开始的一系列南极洲科学考察的代号。


这系列考察是响应1957年–1958年的国际地球物理年。美国与英国、法国、日本、挪威、智利、阿根廷和苏联同意前往地球考察得最少的地方——南极。其目标是促进世界认识南极洲的海道测量和天气系统、冰川移动和海洋生物。美国海军奉命支持美国科学家作他们的研究部份。


深冻行动Ⅰ预备建立一所永久研究站，以便以后深冻行动作更详尽研究。这次行动在南极洲的夏天进行，从1955年11月到1956年4月。
