江右人，即江右民系，或稱贛民系，是以贛語為母語的漢族分支，主要分佈於江西大部份地區、湖南東部、湖北東南部、安徽西南部和福建西北部。

歷史


江西地區在秦朝以前鮮少受到中原文明的影響，該地區屬於百越族居住地區。秦滅六國之戰後，才被納入中原漢文化的地區。在明朝初期，江右民系大規模移居到湖南和湖北的北部和東部地區。促使新湘語形成。在明末清初時，江右民系又再次遷居到湖廣（今湖南與湖北兩省範圍）。

江西的主要語言是贛語，佔江西全省大部分地區。江西省南部使用客家語，北部有江淮官話（淮語）、徽語和吳語。


在陝西，四川，浙江，湖南，海南，廣東，福建和臺灣都有贛語的語言島。



飲食


江西菜，是中國菜主要菜系之一。江西料理大量使用辣椒、醃漬品和發酵產品。[1]



其他


景德鎮被認為是中國最好的瓷器生產地區。


江西也是禪宗的歷史發展中心。[2]


贛劇是江西的主要劇種。[3]
