让姓并不是中国常见的姓氏，但也是中国古老的姓氏之一，在较早的姓氏书籍[哪個／哪些？]中已有记载。



歷史


让氏主要有两个较大的分支，一支可考证的源流是山东省巨野县麒麟镇薛扶集村；另一支源自下文所述湖北武昌的让氏，始祖名讳銮。以上两支据各自家谱记载两支均传十八世左右，另外在各地还有人数较少的难以考证源流的族群分布。

  • 姓氏由来：

    • 明惠帝因燕王朱棣造反，焚宫时逃亡而出。其后，滇、黔、巴、蜀间，皆传有帝为僧时往来迹，世遂以帝为逊国云。逊者，让也，让之肇姓，实取义于此。一世祖單名[鑾]字，疑是惠帝改名

  • 昭穆：
    • 老字派，「文斯有凝兴宗庆」；

    • 新字派，「德可延世泽勤必振家声」。 　　


  • 郡望堂号：江夏郡
